They disappear after the tree is removed. The normal process is when you chop a tree, a stump is placed, and the stump lives for 15 minutes (60 * 60 * 15 or 54,000 ticks). This mod takes it down to 1 tick (3600 ticks per minute). Thus, you never see the stump because it has no time to live.
