Just a couple of ideas/suggestions. Smaller space factories in line with normal factory sizes. A specialized space factory with a lens in the ceiling that allows energy beams through. The idea being that you can then place an energy beam receiver inside in the centre of the specialized factory, allowing for nested energy receiver/generation factory designs.

Thanks, the smaller factories are definitely possible and is an idea I originally overlooked and will be adding once I sort out the other bugs. The Energy Beam Receiver is actually not possible atm with the way its implemented in SE as far as I'm aware of.
