Hi there, I noticed that you use a license that contains:

'NoDerivatives - If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.'

In my understanding, this effectively means that I should not/can not create a mod which is utilizing this art asset. However, in the description you are encouraging to use the accompanied functions to include this mod in a new one. I am slightly confused.

Is the strict license on this art module intentional? Are they really not free to build upon?

IIUC the license: You cannot unzip the mod, pull out the sprites, and then put them in another mod, or another zip file, or use them in some other game. You also can't pull out the sprites and edit them and upload as a new mod. But, this explanation does not override the original license, it is my layman interpretation. Unfortunately international IP and copyright law is incomprehensible so I don't know what the limits are.

Alright, I am also no lawyer, hence the questions :-) Basically, if another mod directly depends on these art assets in a way that:
(1) the sprites are not moved out of the original package
(2) are referencing this mods contents such that the dependent mod cannot function without installing this mod in its current form, beforehand

You can also set it as an optional dependency and only use it if it's loaded. That's a safer option for you in case I take them off the mod portal.

I re-read the license terms of the original store and I do NOT think you can use these. I will add a DRM-esq thing to them later today.
