I added a short explanation to the mod portal's description. The mod isn't very sophisticated, I just wrote it for my own playthrough because I don't like the low yields.
'This works simply by increasing the yield amounts of the recipes that produce metal plates or molten metal (with an exception for the 'molten metal to metal plates' casting recipes, so that the chains involving casting don't get buffed twice) by a configurable multiplier.'
