1. This pack have a ton of dependencies
2. If I try to install it inside Factorio, it downloads all these mods, but later versions
3. Later versions do not work, because the dependency is on earlier ones
4. I didn't find a way to downgrade the mod inside Factorio
5. The only way I find to have an earlier version is to manually go to mod's page here and download an earlier version and manually unpack it inside an appdata folder
6. And I need to do this for each and every dependency

Am I doing something wrong, or this is the only way to play this pack? Or it is an abandonware?

I would expect later versions to work with the exception of a clash between the Metal & Stars and Armoured Biters mods where Metal & Stars requires an older version of Armoured Biters due to a typo in the dependencies there. This mod's dependencies are all for "at least this version" so it doesn't care if you have a later one installed.
You can only downgrade inside Factorio if you already have both versions installed but that shouldn't matter because the later versions should just work exactly the same (except M&S/AB as mentioned above).
As a note, you don't need to unpack the mods in appdata, you can leave them in their zip folders.
