Is there a way to turn off the starting planet satellite where everything is made of dirt and wood? It's funny, but it makes my eye twitch. It's so absurd and silly.
You could remove the Lignumis mod if you don't want that planet (you would also need to disable this mod to do that). If you do this, you will want to also look at the Lignumis page and remove the "Optional wood mods" listed there
