Of all mining drill mods that I tested, yours is the better balanced of them all. I like it a bit challenging, and after playing for a while, I decided to raise its electric consumption and pollution generation to 4x a default drill. Also reduced module slots from 5 to 4 and kept 2x mining speed as you intended. It really made an impact on a new save, which made me postpone its use until I got higher capacity of blue chips production and defenses.
