several mod authors seem to have only updated the version number in Json and not even once started factorio afterwards before publishing the new 0.17 version, causing factorio not to start for me unless the mod is disabled.

in this mod, the error is caused by a bad filename, probably using the original mod's home directory and not the renamed mod's directory "....-017":

Path long-reach-research-upgrade/graphics/long-build-1.png does not match any enabled mod ....
Mods to be disabled: long-reach-research-upgrade-017

I'll have a look at it later today. It looks like I indeed messed up some things while changing the name to make it uploadable. Which I admit is rather sloppy.

i didn't test the mod (currently playing one vailla game first), but at least i now could start factorio without any problems from this mod.
