I added to my MP game and I went afk several hours even took pictures of me being near the forest with the map zoom out just before the pixel art style and took a screenshot to compare and nothing new has grown.
My game after only a few hours of the mod has almost doubled in tree density, to the point that im now lagging and might have to remove it. For me it works fine.
