Hey, this is great help for building stuff and such….

But it comes to mind it would be a perfect companion for your logistic cart mod.
It would make it very much easier to set up a route spanning over several screens….

And it could be a perfect high-tech guidance system for the carts in itself, if the carts can follow the designated color along the laser beam.
(technically speaking it makes no difference I think if following direction till another directional sign or just follow the beam all along till the next beam beacon (and sign), but I am not so much of an avid modder)

Man... just been reading the Expanse books where stuff gets "painted" by targeting lasers every other page, and yet implementing laser guidance in Factorio hadn't occurred to me... :-\

it just occured to me there is no real difference between stickers on the floor and a guided laser line till the next sticker
