Would you consider increasing the wire length a bit to help us just a little more?

I'm not sure. I kept it the same as the normal version so that there wouldn't be any space between the areas of effect but I wouldn't mind changing it if it's a common request. In the meantime you can change it locally by going to "C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Factorio\mods\improved-medium-electric-pole_0.1.4\prototypes\entity" and changing "maximum_wire_distance" in the lua file to your prefered wire length.
