Not sure if that was intended. but I cannot build the Rocket silo without Homeworld sand. The Terraformer with Sand doesn't produce Sand that I can place my miner on. I've scouted several large sand areas at least as large as my starting location, but no sand match so far. Going to try another mod to see if I can push back the biters easier; and conquer more sand in the hopes I find some valid sand.

What does valid sand even look like? I could never find a location to put down a drill.

like normal sand, look on the minimap for sand and medium gray alternating squares, I'll grab a screenshot in a few minutes here

That minimap picture was very helpful, I see some likely candidates at the far end of some of the MK4 Radars. I'll push in those directions.
