Initially, I have opened a PR on GitHub for the 2.0 update but when I saw that you have not responded, I have made an updated version (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/handcraft_timer_space_age) myself.
Would be cool to know if you want to support this mod any further, I find it very useful.
