How do you use the wireless transmitter?

I rolled one out but I can't figure out how to connect it with anything.

It's just a normal pole with huge power supply range and big cable range. It auto-connects to other power pole as per usual. Also it's wire range is quite (twice and then some) shorter then it's supply range, not sure why. Still bigger than that of a big pole, and it only matters for wireless-to-wireless power line.

AH! I get it now, that makes sense. Thanks!

It's because of balance. Don't want it to be too much OP. If you want to provide long range energy supply (to another base or something like that) it needs closer range then supply range. You can imagine something like "two poles between eachother needs closer reach (because of required strong connectivity between those) meanwhile normal machines can be connected a bit further". the exact numbers are 100x100 as supply range and connectivity 80x80 range.
