Factorio GeoGuessr Mod

A GeoGuessr-style minigame for Factorio that challenges players to guess locations based on a limited camera view. Are you waiting for your science to finish? Did you build a mega base and not sure what to do next? Play a round of Geoguessr to see if you remember what you build!

Features

  • Random Location Guessing
Display a random location on a surface and challenges the player to guess the exact location.

  • Customizable Round Timer
Choose from 5 seconds up to 10 minutes per round.

  • Multiple Rounds
    Play 1, 3, 5, 10, or 15 rounds per game.

  • Surface Selection
Use the current surface or include all available surfaces.

  • Zoom Control
Adjustable location view zoom levels for difficulty tuning.

  • Entity-Based Filtering
Require a minimum number of entities in a location to avoid empty areas. Unless you are confident you can guess the location without player entites, then by all means, set this to 0

  • Blacklist System
Exclude specific surfaces or entity types.

  • Distance Scoring
Score is based on how close the guess is and how much time is left on the clock.

  • Disable Identifiers
Option to disable recipe icons, tags, train stations, and other helpful identifiers (Warning: if you turn this on, you will have to manually turn them back on after the game)

  5. Click on where you think the location is (You can guess in both remote view and in player view)
  6. Confirm your guess

  8. Continue to the next round

FAQ

  • Does it support XXX Overhaul?
Yes, it should, but you might have to tweak some entity and surface blacklists.
  • Can I play this in multiplayer?
Yes, but you will be playing with your own set of locations and guesses, I may support synced multiplayer mode in future.

TODO

  • Better Multiplayer support (?)
