I feel like I must be missing something fundamental here. To start I selected electromagnetic science pack and configured it to use 5 prod2 modules and a constraint of 64.8 per minute. This requires exactly 6 machines, but the mod is telling me it needs 8.308. No matter how I fiddle with it I keep getting nonsensical results.

I missed that because I was avoiding spoilers. Fixed in version 0.3.5.

The recycler's calculation is wrong and will be fixed tomorrow.

Wrong calculations when using receiver recipes were fixed version in 0.3.6.

I've continued working on this production line, and it got confused when I started using recycling recipes. This goes deeper into spoiler territory so I understand if you want to delay looking into this, but if/when you would like to let me know how you'd like to. I can send a save, or I can send a string export of the same configuration in Factory Planner using its matrix solver.

Ultimately I'm hoping to find a tool that can work with these recursive recycling chains to make byproducts go away and tell how many recyclers and in what configuration is needed to do so.

It's very likely I just don't understand some aspect of what makes this tool different.

I tried to reproduce that. It seems to be the same issue.

I am working on resolving the issue, but it is also the issue that has existed since the time of pull requests in Factory Planner and is difficult to resolve. If it works, version 0.4.0 will resolve the issue, but if it doesn't work, ...but I don't want to think about what happens if it doesn't work out.

First aid was provided in version 0.3.7. This does not resolve the issue, but by removing recycle recipes, you will get a better solution than before.
