g Update for 2.0

Heyo, I was lamenting the lack of a modern version of this mod and decided to try to update it myself. I set up a whole solution and dev environment for it and then realized that you literally just need to change the version to 2.0. I guess none of the things that this mod does have been significantly changed in the last five years!

If you're around, I'm sure a few others like myself would appreciate an update to 2.0 modo_lv. If not, I don't see a license on GitHub but I might go ahead and reupload it with that one change for the handful of other people I know who might appreciate it.

Either way, thanks for the mod! Can't wait to get a few long-handed diagonal steam-powered stack inserters out of my crafting menu.

Huh. I really didn't think anyone was actually using the mod. :D It was my first step into Factorio modding, a proof of concept more than anything else. Glad to see it's actually useful to people!

I am no longer playing Factorio, and life is happening, but if the modding API has not changed and an update really is as easy as just changing the version number, I might be able to do that sometime soon.

Hah, that's awesome! I know it's kind of a niche thing, but I used to use it long ago and I was enjoying my current mod loadout except for all the junk it adds, and wishing there was some way to hide things. I never expected that my initial test of bumping the listed version to 2.0 would result in it working perfectly, but I've been using it all day yesterday and today and it's been great!

You can even put "show detailed tooltips" on in Debug Mode only and then toggle it on and off! The built-in factoriopedia which lets you see when a recipe is a dead-end makes it even easier!

It's a little bit technical to grab the item and tech IDs I guess, but I'm really surprised more people don't use it, given how many mods there are on the Portal that are just "hides a handful of items that I don't like."

Cheers!

I have uploaded a new version that should be compatible with 2.0. (I think I also accidentally made it incompatible with 1.1, but since there's no functional changes, hopefully people on the older Factorio can just continue using the older version.)

Awesome! Thank you very much modo!

And yeah, anyone who is playing 1.1 at this point presumably knows not to update their mods, and if they do accidentally the mod portal keeps old versions they can source. Cheers!
