Modpacks can have its own mod to automatically collect its dependency mods, I feel like modpack patches should go in a modpack mod instead...?

Fair point, I just made this because I didn't necessarily want to make a new mod for every modpack I put together, especially since I never actually release them. Up to you of course

if it's just personal use, you can simply add this mod as dependency because your mod is not on the portal, so it's not recorded in this mod and won't make a circular dependency.
