Hi, I'm glad you're getting the hang of it!
To exit the cutscene early, you can use /end-cutscene.
There is not a ton I we can do to control the motion curve, since the actual camera movement is handled by the game, but check out the description on the mod portal page, I've made a little writeup documenting how to use specific zoom values, transition times, and waiting times - maybe those could get you closer to what you're trying to achieve.
Let me know if you need anything else :)
Hi, I am trying to use your mod with manually set up transition, wait and zoom setting. However for some reason it does not work for me. I have read multiple times your description from main page. Even copied whole command and change tags - still getting invalid waypoints. Any idea what can cause this ? It's working manually set up from mod settings, but not when I want to change settings from one section to another like it says on description. Great mod by the way.
Hi, I’m trying to use your mod with manually set transition, wait, and zoom settings. However, for some reason, it’s not working for me. I’ve read your description on the main page multiple times and even copied the entire command and changed the tags — but I’m still getting “invalid waypoints.”
Do you have any idea what might be causing this? The manual setup from the mod settings works fine, but it doesn’t work when I try to change settings from one section to another as described.
Thank you, I'm always happy to hear people are using this mod :)
Are you getting any specific error message besides just "invalid waypoints"?
And if possible, would you mind copy/pasting one of the commands that is not working for you so I can take a look? Maybe there is something wrong with the syntax, or the mod isn't able to parse it correctly for some reason.
When I copy/paste the example command from the mod description, it creates a cutscene sending the camera to the first location waypoint, and just ignores the train and station waypoints and ends back at my character without any error messages.
Thanks for the quick response!
I’ve managed to work with one location at a time, or even set 2–3 locations in a row — that works fine. However, I get the message “Invalid waypoints” every single time I try to manually set a transition, wait, and zoom between two sections. I just can’t get it right. Copying your description and replacing your trains with my random locations gives the same “Invalid waypoints” result.
The mod settings work fine — I can set them up manually — but it would be amazing to create a command with several locations, each with different settings.
I’m using Factorio 1.1 and running Space Exploration. Not sure if that helps? Sorry I can’t provide more detailed information.
