g ✅ -> Documentation? Tutorial?

I can't seem to get the mod to work? Using /cutscene just gives me an error about no waypoints and that's it. Tried adding waypoints but I can't seem to figure it out?

That’s a good point, I’ll work on getting a tutorial posted soon :)
In the meantime, I’ll try to explain here. Basically your command should look something like the picture on the mod page, so “/cutscene [gps=0,0] [gps=30,20]” will create a cutscene starting at 0,0, then moving to 30,20. You can type those coordinate tags in manually, but that’s a lot of work! It’s much easier to just shift-click on the map where you want the waypoint to be.
So:
1. Open console with the ‘ key
2. Type “/cutscene “
3. Shift-click anywhere on the map. A location tag should be added to the console input box right after where you just typed /cutscene
4. Add as many waypoint as you want- these can include trains and train stations (shift click on them just as you would a position). For this I’d recommend opening the map view first before opening the console, so you have better visibility and can see more of the map while you’re adding waypoints
5. Once you’ve added your waypoints, press the return/enter key to execute the command. It will either error and tell you something was wrong with the waypoints, or start the cutscene
6. If you want to end the cutscene before it finishes, run the /end-cutscene command.

Hopefully that helps a bit, let me know if that works for you :)

Omg, thank you, that makes much more sense. I will test it shortly and get back to you.

Yes, it worked. Amazing. Thank you so much.

:D I'm glad to hear it

Oh, I forgot to add: you can change the settings in player mod settings to specify how long it takes to travel from one waypoint to the next, how long to wait at a waypoint before going to the next one, what zoom to use, etc. I'd recommend playing around with those settings to get a cutscene looking exactly how you want it to :)
Just note that if you change the settings while you're watching a cutscene, they won't take effect until you create a new one.

Is there a way to change it in the command, like going from one point to another slow, but zoom out/zoom in fast for the next? Different wait duration for different points? Maybe repeat? I'm doing a kind of screensaver video with megabases and following trains/looking at rockets launch and stuff.

Currently no, but I do have the groundwork mostly complete to add that functionality. I’ll work on polishing that up and push an update soon :)

You're amazing. <3

I see you added them. You're fast and amazing! So cool.

:D It was a feature I've been tinkering with off and on for a little while now, so it wasn't too much work to get it all implemented. Let me know if there's any problems, or any other features you might want!
