Custom Map Colors
Lets you set your own colors that things will appear as on the map. You can dress your factory up in neon, pastel, millennial pink, or anything else! Perhaps highlight your vehicles in neon orange to make them more visible, or have them match your own player /color? Now includes a map legend.
There are a small number of presets to start with. The first category changes entity colors, and includes:
- None (Vanilla colors)
- The default preset
- Pastels
- Neons
- Invisible Factory
- Monochrome (your choice of color)
- Christmas
- Vaporwave Sunset
- Jazz Cup
The second set of presets changes map tiles:
- Default 0.18
- Default 0.17 (comes with a saturation multiplier)
- Autumn Leaves
- Winter Wonderland
- Dark Side of the Moon
- Black
- Error: Map not found. (Yes, that’s actually the name, try it out!)
Another option, "Fancy trees," makes the trees on the map more colorful, and reflective of their actual leaf colors, as well as making dead trees more visible.
To customize individual entities, use your favorite color picker, and get an rgb code in hexidecimal: "rrggbb", "rrggbbaa", "rgb", or "rgba", or in decimal “rrr.ggg.bbb”, and use it to set that color for an entity in startup settings. Invalid codes will cause the color to be set to the default color for that entity.
Colors available to be customized include:
- Default Factory Color (Everything that isn't given a custom color)
- Transport Belts
- Fast Transport Belts
- Express Transport Belts
- Pipes, Tanks, and Pumps
- Assembling Machines
- Chemical Plants
- Refineries
- Furnaces
- Labs
- Rocket Silos
- Beacons
- Centrifuges
- Reactors
- Heat Pipes
- Boilers
- Generators
- Electric Poles

Custom Map Colors also comes with a dynamic map legend, which adjusts itself to match whatever custom colors you set for entities. It can be accessed by default with the hotkey ALT + M, or through the shortcut bar.
Some compatibility with modded entities, depending on how they are added. If something is not working as expected, let me know in the discussion section and I'll see what I can do.
