I had an idea for a possible extra technology which would allow unlocking the ability to filter by side of a belt (what I call a lane but not sure if there is a word for it). So if you had a chest with gears and copper you could have one loader feeding into it that ensures that only gears on one side and copper on the other to make the red science.
