just found this:
It's all about the snapping. You need to snap the non-belt side to the chest and then hit the R key to reverse the flow into the chest. It doesn't do it automatically. If you have belt animations turned off, it's even harder to discern.
@plexpt - There is an option to snap to belts and to snap to chests, but I don't think it's working.
