Biters are more like dogs than cats. But cats roaming the factory and hanging around at warm places like near furnaces, boilers and reactors would be awesome. Cats could spawn in forests near the base and migrate to the base for safety or to get fish from your boxes. Obviously, walls would be no barrier to cats...
