RTS-like scenario for Factorio. Player character is removed, all work must be done by bots

Ok I don't get this... when I start a game, I only have 1 row of quick-inventory, and as a consequence, the deconstruction planner is gone... what's happening?
Open the blueprint planner by pressing B and snatch it out of that.
