Currently I'm afraid this isn't possible. I'll see if I can add a list of deprioritized technologies in a future release. Although, it's likely it won't be very user friendly: You'll then have to manually add the technologies to the config.lua file (and you'll have to use the technology ID rather than the display name. For example, "Armor Crafting" has ID "armor-making". I should add a hint in the config file where users can find the ID of the technology).
I don't think I'll add (m)any technologies to the default config for this mod, but I can see that it can be useful for some.

Thought I'd let you know, in version 0.6.0 it is possible to block certain technologies from being researched. It's a more advanced feature, you'll have to edit config.lua and add the technologies you'd like to block there.
