It looks like this mod needs very small pictures here. I just wanted to play Darkstar Utilities and immediately got this error:

It would be great if this problem can be fixed. Otherwise the auto research mod is not in the modpack again. (last time I just didn't feel like using it. So don't think something went wrong ;) )

You seem to be having the same issue I am with a couple of Bob's mods. It looks like the dev might not be very active right now and this is actually a mod made by someone else originally and was updated by triffid. I found another release by someone else who adopted it from the original and who appears to have already fixed this issue based on changelogs, I'm about to give that version a try.
