Hi there! Sorry for the long response time, I've been away for a while.
I was (and am still) if-y on the informatron dependency, as I don't like relying on other mod authors more than necessary. Informatron, however, is made by a pretty credible author, and I believe it holds a lot of potential. In fact, this mod's most recent update introduces custom ammo/fuel priority sorting through the informatron GUI.
While I could put this GUI somewhere else, it means one more icon, button, window, shortcut, hotkey, etc. that just clutters up the in-game HUD and hotkey pool. This makes it a worse experience for both the player and myself (due to the extra code involved). That's why, for the time being, I plan to try and use the informatron interface, and hopefully other mods will begin to as well.
