Can't you do that in vanilla? Admittedly I have not played far enough to have a tank on a remote planet to test this, but that's what I heard.

Yeah, could see updating it, but some of the features are in vanilla and for those that aren't I'll want to take advantage of the new systems to improve this. Will look at it after I finish my first space age playthrough.

you can remote view but it's the whole screen, and you can just die while in remote view if you aren't paying attention to your health.
Sometimes there's two different surfaces needing immediate intervention at the same time and you have to pick which one will get rebuilt afterwards.
