Playing Nullius Mod, with the Compat Mod. The tech, "Multi-Pipe Connections" tech shows that it needs 5 science/research types: Geology; Climatology; Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Chemistry. But, it is available to be researched BEFORE Chemistry Research is even available. Granted, that research/science type is not too far from where I currently in the game, but it doesn't even have a treebranch from Chemistry Research into it like everything else that has that science in it's tech.
