Therefore, I think that many options on this MOD will be not convenient on the contrary. ...What do you think ?

In multiplay, the each players are colored with mask, but the each image file can not be changed.
I want to do it very much too, but the completely different MOD will be need.

You can't just get player color and exemple red = skin 1, green = skin2 ... and make multiple folder named skin 1, 2 ... ?

If you want add color filter probaly need modify web api for add option set color filter on all avatar or only on selected color specifi with #xx xx xx code, i no know game but this use probaly alpha layer
