Strikes Overhaul Mod


Changes many configurations. Game is more user friendly, but overall more resource intensive. No change log because "Ain't nobody got time for that."

This is a nice mod - thank you for creating it! I like the fresh take on vanilla Factorio that this mod provides, and it adds a lot of interesting changes, especially the research and recipe changes.

Also, as I'm playing a world with this mod, I'm taking note of some things that could be improved.

Mining drills use WAY too much power. 1.5 MW is a lot for each drill. Also, mining drills should have a 5x5 mining area, not a 7x7 area (unless there's a good reason why it should be 7x7, I guess).

Research also takes way too long. I have to produce 30 MW of power just to power the labs to research Logistics 2 within a reasonable amount of time. All of my assemblers have an average total power usage of 1 MW. I feel that this is somewhat unbalanced. Maybe decrease the time required to research new technologies or decrease the power consumption of laboratories?

Solar panels produce an insignificant amount of electricity now (9kW). Can you make them produce 90kW, which is the default, or at least some amount close to 90kW?

Terribly sorry for not getting back sooner. Been busy with class and not been finding many problems on my end. Glad you are enjoying. Mining Drills were a good point, my friend convinced me to double the speed. It should have the same area as base game.

Research was a good point, I cut it's energy use by 60%

Solar IRL is a terrible energy source, I wanted to reflect that. You can use solar, but you need a shit ton of it. I might change me mind, but I do love my nukes. 1.1 GW reactors man...
