It seems that the mod doesn't work properly with IR3. When you start a new game, you get teleported in as a normal engineer, not as a spidertron.
Tested with only IR3 and Spidertron Engineer 2 and their requirements active.
EDIT. Also the IR3 tech tree seems to be removing MK2 and MK3 spidertron upgrades.
