it crafts things you have not researched yet if you put them into the quickbar

Could you give me an example? I tried it with an electric furnace before researching it, but even though I had the materials, it didn't auto craft it.

I found an example for this. middle mouse clicking on an empty slot on the quick bar, then selecting an unresearched item, such as yellow splitters, at the beginning of the game will start crafting splitters if you have the resources despite being unresearched.

Using middle mouse on the quick bar and selecting steel furnace worked the same as well while holding steel plates and stone bricks.
