I generally use my own version of omegadrill, the new hidden chest thing is really... bad ? I avoid like pest mod that have control file for UPS reasons, thus mod that really require a control file could be ok I don't feel this one should need one.

Specially, I search a mod with a mining drill that have drops_full_belt_stacks activate https://lua-api.factorio.com/latest/prototypes/MiningDrillPrototype.html#drops_full_belt_stacks, since I do a run without space age but with stack inserter. Having the omega drill stack item on the belt would be more logical. In the control file, I only hooked on-placing, on-removing, and on-click events. Nothing that will run every tick. I also try to escape (if not omega_drill, then return) them as soon as possible.

I don't plan on removing the internal chest - I like it too much - but I have no problem with you modifying the mod to your preferences and publishing.
