Natural Tree Expansion Reloaded deprecated

Trees spread naturally over time, they'll grow around anywhere the player visits, but only on grass and dirt areas, not concrete or any man-made tiles or sandy deserts etc. This originally was msakuta's mod! I simply patched it to version 0.16 of Factorio.

g No trees at start ?

Just started a game with this mod, it looked interesting ! But... zero tree in the starting area, no spawning at all after an hour. Could that be a conflict of any kind with the other mods I'm using ?

  • The full Bob's suite (no tree, no wood, no play...)
  • RSO
  • Few cosmetic mods such as Asphalt and Dectorio
  • Base mod 0.16.8

Hi Taerkhan,

I don't think, that there is a conflict with other mods:
I'm testing my old 0.15 savegame with factorio 0.16 and I also use Bob's suit, RSO, Aspalt, Dectorio beside other stuff and I got no problems with this mod.
Furthermore I started a new game without problems.

But I have a suspicion:
Do you start in a barren envirenment?
Trees will only grow on grass and dirt areas, not on desert for example.

For analysis you can change a parameter in the zip-file:
Change in the file config.lua the parameter enable_debug_window = true - This will give you an ad with tree information.
For faster timeflow use for example the mod https://mods.factorio.com/mods/binbinhfr/TimeTools.

EDIT: Configuration of file config.loa in zip is no longer necessary, pls check game/mod settings.
