I’d love an update for 2.1 now that 2.1.7 is out :)

What is the polite way to deal with these situations? I would happily fork the mod just to bump the version number, but I don't want to be rude.

I feel called out. Don’t look at my mods. (OK, to be fair, they do all make other changes too.)

The mod hasn’t been updated in 1 year and 8 months, so I’d say go for it, honestly. It’s under the MIT license, so you are at legally allowed to at least. Or just let people tweak the number themselves, I guess, but it’s probably fine to fork it and take it down once this mod updates, if it does.
