You don't need to require the user to edit the K2 mod, you can simply clone everything the quality mod does into your mod and add a dependency on "All feature flags" mod or just on the quality feature flag. Youd have to copy the recycler code and the quality-enabling (since quality is implemented in c++) from Quality and that's pretty much it. We've been discussing this on the K2 discord but I don't know your @ to tag you.
