I was wondering if it would be possible to have a variant of display plates that have a lighter-coloured central background? This would be useful when trying to improve visibility for dark-themed items (like oil and coal for example).

Good idea, I will take this into account for the next update.

This ties well into the graphics rework I am planning to do. The plan is to implement a generator to build display plate sprites on the fly based on a recipe ingredient item. If you might want to help with that, pm me in the forums.

I have not really logged-in into the mod portal for a while, so I missed a couple of messages. I have also "discovered" option to enable mailing the notifications, so at least now I should actually see when that happens :)

Not sure I can contribute anything right now (got some private stuff to take care of), but I might get around to it since I got an itch to play Factorio yet again :)

I'll contact you if/when that happens, and thanks for looking into the issue I reported related to attach notes a while back :)
