What it says on the title - my poor laptop started having problems very early on and it was clear no amount of optimizing would allow me to get very far. Since installing this mod the factory has multiplied in size several times and still runs extremely smoothly. Only fluids in nuclear power have some trouble sometimes but that too was fixed with more pumps, more everything.

I still haven't gotten my fill of vanilla Factorio, but eventually I might, so I wonder how does this generally work with other mods that add lots of new technology and complexity? If those have new stuff not governed at all by your mod, would it break the game in some way or would these still fit together?
