What a shame that it was marked deprecated, but I don't really have the time to take it over.
The discord link is dead, but I guess you're talking about having both abandoned ruins mod marked optional? I do think that I had a reason for that ... but it does look like it might not be necessary anymore. I'll try to figure out why I made it like this, add that to the docs and make sure my github and this upload are actually in sync.
