b [Resolved] SE and Q Pipette

Pressing Q on Items/Buildings from Space Exploration in the Filter Helper Menu doesnt seem to want to put those item on the cursor. I noticed it with the special Efficiency modules SE has + Fuel Processor from AAI industries which is edited by SE

It also seems to not like it when you use the Pipette on Ammo(Piercing Ammo in my case), though there it flickers it on the cursor in the amount you have in your ammo slots, then removes it again.

Can you share a full mod list?

Can you try loading the save just Space Exploration and Filter Helper and no other mods?

Is this when using the standard opening a building near it or remote view? Or does it specifically happen in satellite view?

Okay it still happens with just the SE(+hard required mods) + Filter Helper Modlist
in person standing right next to the inserter but not from remote view

And the issue is with anything that SE specifically touches (in person), which for example includes accumulators, but yeah, remote view gets around it, it seems.

I can't seem to reproduce this.

I'm thinking maybe you have another keybind on Q for some reason. Can you check your binds?

Can you check if this happens also without Space Exploration?

If you can send me your save file, with the exact places where it should fail, it would be very helpful.

Keybind wise i only got the vanilla Q commands on it, Pipette Tool and Clear Cursor which if they did interfere should interfere everywhere

lm adding some pins to remote view for the ones i know are not doing what they are supposed to do and then im gonna upload the safe file

edit: 3 examples should hopefully be enough

just a quick recap:

Expected behavior: press Q on the item in the Filterhelper menu while outside remote view is meant to put it on your cursor so you can plop it down in for example the signal equation
Behavior observed on my installation: It refuses to put it on the cursor, or with regards to piercing ammo does only so for a split second, but only for items that are changed by Space Exploration?
where: on a MultiPlayer server with a friend, which i forgot to mention which might be highly relevant ^^''

edit:
though it did happen on my singleplayer version of the save file with minimum mods too now thinking about it

okay i realized whats happening. i have the setting "Pick Ghost Item if no item are avaible" disabled in Interface settings, and the mod basically requires that to be enabled to be able to ghost an item onto the cursor outside remote view if you dont have it in your inventory.

Its no SE specific at all, which is great. I just mistook cause and effect.

edit:
which is also why piercing ammo jumped onto the cursor only for a split second, cause the ghost piercing ammo is different from the actual piercing ammo in your ammo slot i assume.

I tried with your save, clicking on various inserters and then Q on piercing ammo inside Filter Helper. Everything worked as expected.

Does this also happen to your friend?

Yes, it did, but see the post just before yours. I figured out what the actual issue was.
I was mistaken that it was SE

The funny part is that I thought it might have been the case, and disabled the feature and it still didn't do anything unexpected for me!

Anyways, glad the issue got resolved.
