In the https://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-218 The Devs talked about a higher resolution version of the player sprite.
It should be possible to re-release this mod at a higher resolution than it currently is. It currently looks like the Sims 1 shower blur.
(on a side note I wonder why the Factorio Devs have not simply made the player sprite 3D instead, it should use less Ram that way)
