A large number of tiles are created (all the same level of detail though), but the index.html viewer doesn't work. You can view maybe a couple of tiles and pan a small amount, and there is no zoom. This is with a map bounds of (-8000, -1800) - (1600, 2300). Default settings seem to generate a small map that works.
