I had one irritating piece of my terrain that had an abruptly cut off patch of copper. Some update in the 0.17 series changed ore generation so that patch appeared there. This was the perfect mod to deal with it, though I had to be careful to not accidentally delete anything I'd built.

This mod isn't perfect for everything of course. Another time I just wanted to delete most of the map because I'd just explored places and never put anything down and had a huge map for no good reason. That needed the delete empty chunks mod.
