a Thanks!

Just wanted to say thanks! Instead of fixing a problem that I assume only affected some of your mod users, you just made an entirely new mod!

Honestly, I was expecting there to be a lot of problems with having existing entities from the original mod but the switch worked out really great. Thanks for all the hard work!

The issue was the texture size. people on anything but high could not load some of the textures. this mod is the same just fixes that for lower end machines. thanks

Well thanks for all the work man!

I'm just curious though, does it actually work better to have two versions of the mod this way or would it be better to just have one version with lower quality textures? I'm just wondering because it means double the updates for you but also makes integration with other mods a bit more difficult as they don't recognize this Low Spec mod as the same Darkstar files.

Simple example, RSO works with the ores you've added in the original mod but RSO does not recognize the ores from the Low Spec version. I've tried making it work myself but have no idea how RSO really works, I'm sure it's not too difficult for that mod creator to add this Low Spec version to the list of supported mods but I wonder if in the future it will make more sense for yourself to not have to always update two separate mods every time.

Well. i do think there is a way to make a second texture for one item that works for lower textures allowing for both to be there. i am just not sure how. plus i am taking some time off updating the mod so keeping both going should be pretty easy. all this was is a quick way to fix an issue i did not want to have for to long.

All sounds good to me man! If you ever want any help with the mod or just a second set of eyes going through to offer suggestions you can certainly message me. I'm very new to modding myself but I do a fair bit of programming elsewhere in life, if you want to message me on reddit or steam you're more than welcome to.
