You can build the Compilatron Robot from the game. He can attack and die.
Small changes concerning balance, gameplay, or graphics.
It would be nice if it had a cargo capacity (something the size of a steel chest maybe) so it can carry items for you

Make it based on a car should be easy and would do the job, the hard part is to make it follow you. Maybe borrow some code from AAI Vehicles? (just an idea you are far more capable than me)
