Sorry for the late response to this. I was able to resolve this issue myself by going into my game's install directory (%steamapps directory%\common\Factorio\data\base), then go to "graphics\entity", and clone the "character" folder with the new name "player" . You then need to go back to the "graphics" folder, and go to the "icons" folder, and clone the "character.png" with the new name of "player.png"
The mod is looking for a player folder that doesn't exist, as well as the player.png file that doesn't exist. They are called character instead in the actual game files.
