You are not alone on the planet. Hundreds of pods have crashed on the planet and people are waiting to be saved. And you will need to keep them warm, fed and under a roof. Or they will get unhappy.
I do have a bunch of mods installed, however the first burner heat generator only burns one piece of fuel and stops completely.
Edit: I found the problem, it's with another mod that adds a byproduct for burning unrefined fuel
