I want to try this mod with krastorio 2 with Space Exploration.

Is it possible to replace a tin can with a more serious one - a plant version? For example biolab krastorio 2?

Possibly. All I did with this mod so far was copy it, and change the supported version in info.json to 1.1.

A pull request would be welcome. Also you are welcome to fork it again and make a KS2/SE optimized version.

No problem. To fulfill this request, I would have to learn more about modding. It would take a lot of time. Maybe someone else will be able to contribute this feature, but I'm not sure.
